Lessons & Tuition
Beginning students typically start with weekly 30 minute lessons. I use methods that help you play in tune, play by ear, and read notes! I have been playing violin for over 30 years and I am able to model correct technique for my students.
Tuition includes lessons, required books, and recital accompanist fee. It is calculated based on lesson length and will be split across even installments. I have a limited number of instruments available to rent as well.
If there are enough students enrolled of a similar age, I will offer additional group lessons, typically on one Saturday morning per month.
I would like to make lessons accessible for anyone who is committed to learning (adults and children), even if they cannot pay the full rate. In the case of children, a lesson parent still needs to attend lessons and participate in at-home practice and at-home listening - this is not negotiable because it so important for the child’s success. I can offer a sliding scale discounted rate on a case-by-case basis and would ask that in return you help with set-up/take-down at group lessons and recitals.
Lessons are given in my home studio located in the Golden Springs area of Anniston. There is ample parking and a bathroom.
