Violin lessons and viola lessons in Anniston, Alabama
Starting at $30/lesson, payable monthly or by semester
Weekly lessons
Students receive a weekly lesson with their experienced teacher. For children, a lesson parent/adult is present to take notes for at-home practice. Children naturally want to mimic what their parents do, so we capitalize on this by including a mini lesson for the parent (with their own full-size instrument) during the child’s lesson time.
Adult learners will mimic the correct technique demonstrated by their teacher at weekly lessons and receive feedback. Practice log sheets and weekly assignments will be customized to your learning goals and learning speed.
Monthly Group Lessons
Playing with peers is very motivating! When there is a large enough cohort of peers, group lessons are available.
Proven Methods
The Suzuki Method is primarily used, but several other method books are also incorporated to enhance note reading and to expand repertoire. This model of learning is similar to learning a language and utilizes strategies to move skills into long-term memory. Repetition through daily practice, daily listening of recordings, lessons with a trained teacher, and playing similar pieces with a community of peers are all important parts of this learning process.

“Musical ability is not an inborn talent but an ability which can be developed. Any child [or adult] who is properly trained can develop musical ability just as all children develop the ability to speak their mother tongue. The potential of every child is unlimited.”
- Shinichi Suzuki, founder of the Suzuki Method
The heart that feels music will feel people
Learning to listen to and play music allows humans to cultivate the ability to understand each other. People from different cultures, nationalities, and backgrounds can all speak the same language when they experience music together.
